The Stieglitz Circle refers to the artists who  were championed by photographer, artist, critic, art dealer, and collector, Alfred Stieglitz . Some of America’s most progressive artists in the first decades of the twentieth century, they were shown at Stieglitz’s Gallery 291, The Intimate Gallery and An American Place.
