Ken Price was an American artist who re-defined the medium of ceramics. Creating mostly small pieces that were unconventional in shape and in the use of color, Price’s pieces are both erotic, cartoonish, sensual and biomorphic. Price’s exploration of color as an aesthetic force across his medium of choice is experienced in how he blurred the boundary of craft and art and of sculpture and painting
